Description
The land of West Bengal, well known for it sweets. However the land also has a bitter-sweet dish considered to be indispensable starter for a meal on afternoon at any Bengali festivity.
Shukto, a light thick milk based gravy with stir fried assorted vegetables like bitter gourd, sweet potato, neem leaves, raw banana, drum sticks etc , cooked in mustard oil tempered with paanch phoron, green chilies and ginger paste.
